Heritage Culture.

The nostalgic evocation of some past state of affairs occures in the context of present fears, discontents, anxieties or uncertainties in society.
Heritage culture, in this regard, is identified as not only seeking refuge in a past in which the problems of the present are presumed not to exist but also as offering images of stability at a time of upheaval and a sense of continuity in a time of change.
